Jade Seah basically started her Mediacorp career after finishing running up in the Miss Singapore Universe Contest to eventual winner Carol Cheong. Netherless the contest turned out to be a launching pad for Jade as she impressed during the contest and won the Miss Photogenic Award. She was a graduating student of SMU during this period and is a holder of double degree in business communication and marketing.

Jade Seah full name is Xie Mei Yu 谢美玉. She is mixture of Chinese and Eurasian heritage, she speaks English, Chinese and Malay. She is Singaporean and is in her 20's. Her talents including hosting, modeling, acting which she has been doing since her school days in SMU. Jade was also a school netball player and still plays in the National League with her team nowadays.
